the International Women's Forum/ Jordan fulfills the 1st of two  modules in the leadership Enhancement and Mentoring Program (LEMP)

Orange Jordan took part in sponsoring the International Women's Forum /Jordan (IWF/J)  which has recently celebrated the completion of the first module in its second Leadership Enhancement and Mentoring Program (LEMP) supporting promising and potential Jordanian women leaders working in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector.

The program is structured in two modules; the first is based on enhancing women's leadership skills through developing intensive and specialized training sessions centering around the projection of Leadership. The second  focuses on  mentoring and it  enables members of the forum to  meet women participating in the program,  which is modeled according to the Fellows Program of the Leadership Foundation, the educational and charitable arm of IWF, for sharing expertise and experiences.

The forum has successfully fulfilled the program's first module through the different sessions it held during the period from February-April 2008, where it covered the following eight topics:

Projection of Leadership, career management, human resources management, crisis management, public speaking and media, competitiveness of the ICT sector, communications and conflict resolution, in addition to another session on corporate governance and intellectual property rights.
These sessions where held with the participation of a large number of trainers including
Mrs. Samar Dudwin, Dr. Nawaar Freiz, Mrs. Nabila Marqas, Mrs. Duha Abd el Khaleq, Mrs. Ma'ali Kasem, Mrs. Dima 'Aqel, Mr. Alain jarlik, Mrs. Leen Brakr, Mrs. Rana Sabagh and Mrs. Cilia de Anika.

On this occasion, the forum hosted Mrs.Majd Shwiekeh, VP Jordan Telecom Group /CEO Orange Personal, as the keynote speaker at a special session on enhancing the bond between the theory and practical parts of the leadership concept, where Mrs. Shweikeh got the chance to meet the participants and shared her experiences, expertise and the significant accomplishments she was able to achieve through balancing work and home life.

The second module ''Mentoring'' is expected to be accomplished within the next three months where all participants, 19 leading women in the ICT sector, will be enrolled in the mentoring processes and will be given the chance to meet other working women with wide professional experience to support them in different matters concerning work, the development of skills and giving them life tips in general.

The IWF/Jordan is endorsed by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah and was established in 2003 as a non-profit association for women who have achieved notable accomplishments in public life, the private sector or civic society.

Orange's continuous efforts in sponsoring such forums comes as a result of its concern in enhancing women's leadership and their effective participation in all sectors , enabling them to become more inspiring leaders and forceful agents in their organizations and community at large.

It is worth mentioning that Orange and through its fund which was established in 2001, was and will always be keen on supporting and sponsoring the society 'institutions and their distinctive activities especially those of humanitarian approach.
Orange’s commitment towards contributing to the country's sustainable development is something the Group's has pledged to uphold.
