Wanadoo launches the 2Mbps for ADSL

In its continued quest to provide cutting edge Internet service, Jordan Data Communications Ltd -Wanadoo has announced the launch of the new speed for ADSL lines: the 2 Mbps speed, a move believed to assert Wanadoo's leading position as a service provider and pioneer in technology.

Jordan Telecom Group CEO, Mickael Ghossein expressed satisfaction at the launch of the new Internet speed to serve ADSL lines, saying Wanadoo has always worked to maintain is leading position among Internet service providers and technology solutions that serve the economic and trade sectors in the Kingdom..  This, he said, is due to the company's strategy that ensures the latest technology in data transfer and other specialized technology services, all of which helped achieve the highest customer's satisfaction, at both the individual and institution levels.

Ghossein said working as a one-stop-shop, after the four JT companies: Jordan Telecom, MobileCOM, Wanadoo and e-Dimensions Integrated  together, has helped enhance the group's capabilities and served to unify all its services under one umbrella, thus, helping to further develop its activities and expand its customer base.

Wanadoo CEO Sami Smeirat voiced pride at availing the new speed, which is now enjoyed by customers in Egypt, UAE, Qatar and Bahrain.  He said the new speed will herald a new phase of Internet services and data exchange quickly and efficiently.

On the benefits of ADSL, he said the service enables customers an un-interrupted connectivity to the Internet at high speed, without having to disconnect the Internet to make a phone call.  He added that ADSL provides high tech connectivity, including video conferencing, and speedy download and upload of files.

Wanadoo is Jordan Telecom's arm for Internet service, and has- just like its sister companies- contributed to supporting national efforts aimed at spreading the Internet culture among people and bridging the digital gap between Jordan and the rest of the world.

Wanadoo has also been highly competitive in the market, enjoying a market share of 50%, thus positioning itself as number one among other Internet service providers.  This has been possible due to the expertise of its partners, who are present in all continents across the world.
