Jordan Telecom Group Foundation participates in the second gathering

The Governor of Liwa’ Bani Obeid, Irbid hailed the efforts rendered by the Jordan Telecom Group, to attract new technologies into Jordan and yield them in the service of Jordanians, in support of all that empowers the new and promising generations, and which assist in developing the civic society as a whole and enhance it towards making a better future for Jordan and Jordanians.
The Governor expressed as well, during the second IT and Internet adaptation and creativity gathering opening, his admiration of the ideas presented by the Jordan Telecom Group to spread ICT culture amongst younger generations. The opening ceremony took place in Al Sareeh village, and was organized by the Model Sareeh Youth Centre, in cooperation with the JTG Foundation. The Governor further valued the existing partnership between the JTG Foundation and institutes of the civic society, urging participants to benefit from the Internet tent, that was erected for their service. He thanked all workers in the Group and the Foundation on their relentless efforts to spread the Internet culture.
On his part, Wajeeh Al Ghadran, President of Sareeh Youth Centre, expressed his pleasure for Sareeh’s embracing this important gathering which contributes towards the adoption of an information society, and supports the development of the Jordanian society – the youth sector in particular, enhancing it with means of knowledge and technology through spreading the Internet culture. He valued the JTG Foundation for their continued participation in local arenas.
Mr Al Ghadran said that the gathering contained a number of activities, the most prominent of which was voting for Petra to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Boys and girls schools in Al Sareeh participated in the event alongside Centre members and those of the civil society.
Yousef Ma’adi, Manager, of the JTG Foundation, briefed the gathering on the accomplishments and services the JTG provides in all parts of the country, stressing JTG’s constant endeavours to spread IT and Internet culture, through the JTG Foundations and its tools that were designed for this purpose. Ma’adi further explained that voting for Petra is a national duty, that should be performed by all Jordanians, expressing the JTG foundation’s readiness to provide all it is able to provide to ensure active public participation, towards making Petra one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
“After we integrated our four entities, to create the Jordan Telecom Group, we succeeded in ensuring a distinguished status for ourselves, and enhanced this position in a way that makes us confident of our future plans,” he added.
He indicated that the Foundation provides all Jordanians with its services regardless of their locations. The Foundation also geared its programmes and endeavours to sponsor many projects that serve large society sectors in Jordan, and open work horizons for them.
