Orange Jordan sponsors the International Table Tennis Championship for the Disabled

Orange Jordan sponsored last week the International Table Tennis Championship for the Disabled which was patronized by HRH Prince Raad Bin Zeid, Chairman of the International Paralympic Table Tennis Committee, and organized by the National Club for Physically Handicapped in cooperation with the Jordan Sports Federation for Handicapped. The Championship witnessed a huge participation of 65 players from 12 countries and lasted until April 4th 2008. Eng. Yousef Mu’addi, Jordan Telecom Group Foundation Manager, highlighted Orange sponsorship for this championship and valued the exceptional role that Jordan undertook concerning disabled individuals , represented in caring and educating an important segment of the Jordanian population, by building up their characters, and enhancing their achievements, thus making them effective tools in the build up of their own communities. He stressed that ''Orange Jordan is and will always be keen on supporting the social community and believes that the disabled individuals deserve to be supported and have the right to represent themselves in all aspects of life. They also have the right to be engaged in sport and other entertainment activities as they also form an integral part of the Jordanian community and play a prominent role in developing the society.'' Through this sponsorship, Orange Jordan highlights its responsibility towards Jordan and Jordanians which goes beyond developing the information and communications technology (ICT) sector to support and contribute to the social activities.
