Orange Jordan named “Best Wireless Broadband Service Provider”
during the 2010 SAMENA Awards, IN ACKNOLEDGMENT OF ITS 3G+ service
Orange Jordan was named Best Wireless Broadband Service Provider during the 2010 SAMENA Awards, in a regional event that brought together more than 40 leading regional operators, two of whom were nominated next to Orange Jordan for the same title.
The company’s CEO Nayla Khawam received the award during the ceremony held in Morocco between the 26th and 28th October 2010, under the heading Convergence Casablanca.
Commenting on this success, Khawam emphasized that the award comes to reaffirm Orange Jordan’s position as the premier telecom provider in the Kingdom and a trendsetter in the field of advanced technologies – a position that was further underscored with the launch of the company’s exclusive 3G+ network with a host of revolutionary services offered to Jordanians everywhere.
“This achievement comes to crown the efforts of the company’s team, who worked night and day to deliver groundbreaking 3G services to the Jordanian market,” said Khawam. “Orange’s 3G+ network redefined the benchmarks for quality and reliability, delivering speeds of up to 14 Mbps and offering users uninterrupted connectivity through seamless alternations between EDGE and 3G.”
“Jordan Telecom Group – Orange Jordan is one of the leading telecom corporations in Jordan,” commented Bocar BA, President of the SAMENA Council. “The company’s longstanding track record of providing low-cost, high quality services has propelled the growth of Jordan’s ICT sector, which has been reinforced by the company’s investment in research and development and new technologies. It is only fitting that Orange Jordan’s efforts are acknowledged with their receipt of the Best Wireless Broadband Service Provider Award for 2010.”
