(Amman, 15 June, 2008): Orange Jordan, the sole integrated telecom operator in the Kingdom, held a lunch banquet for its corporate clients from the public and private sectors at the Intercontinental Hotel. Through this event, Jordan Telecom Group (JTG) expressed its gratitude to its corporate clients for their loyalty and continuous support for the Group.
This event comes simultaneously with the launch of “Business Everywhere”, the first-of-its-kind service in the Kingdom, which enables subscribers to stay in touch with their businesses effectively, wherever and whenever, through connecting their laptops to the net over GPRS/EDGE, WiFi, or ADSL services. This service was introduced by Orange Business Services which was adopted by Jordan Telecom Group in 2007 and dedicated to optimally serve Jordan’s business market.
The banquet was headed by JTG CEO Mr. Mickael Ghossein, and JTG VP/CEO of the Enterprise Business Unit Mr. Sami Smeirat.
In his welcoming speech, Mr. Ghossein said: “It is our pleasure to hold such events that bring us together with our customers and enable us to stay in touch with them. This banquet is a form of expressing our sincere gratitude to our corporate clients, whether fixed, mobile, data or Internet, for all their continuous support that contributes in positioning us as leaders in the telecom and information technology field in the Kingdom.”
For his part, Mr. Smeirat said: “We are delighted to have our clients accept our invitation as this reflects the strong ties between both parties.” Smeirat pointed out that Orange is constantly keen on studying the needs of Jordanian business market and provide it with an up-to-the-minute service, products, and offers that fulfill businessmen's various requirements, as corporate clients are valuable to JTG.
In a demonstration of the unit's vision and services, Marketing & Sales Support Director, Mr. Ashraf Ayoub talked about the benefits of “Business Everywhere” service in making the life of this segment of businessmen and decision-makers easier as it gives them the chance to explore the Internet and use the applications of their corporate network, and further provides them with the ability to send and receive business emails and SMS by inserting the SIM card inside the laptop card.
Mr. Ayoub also drew attention in his speech to the integrated “BlackBerry®” device which enables its users from accessing the Internet easily wherever they are. The device also gives its users the privilege of sending and receiving emails, opening the attached files, in addition to the common features such as making phone calls and sending text messages through the BlackBerry® device.
It is worth mentioning that Orange Business Services was launched in June 2006 in France to serve the business market through combining the collective expertise of Equant, Orange, France Telecom and its affiliates to help in developing businesses regardless of the industry or size by bringing high performing, secure, easy-to-use solutions and making sure they are simple, flexible and cost-effective.
JTG has adopted in 2007 the Orange Business Services brand to serve Jordan’s business market through its Enterprise Business Unit, covering all types of services including data, internet fixed and mobile.
