Jordan Telecom General Assembly holds its annual meeting
Jordan Telecom General Assembly holds it General Assembly on Thursday April 24/4/2008 at the Sheraton Hotel to look into the listed issues on its agenda and to come up with the appropriate decisions related to them.
The Assembly, which will be headed by Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jordan Telecom Group Dr. Shabib Ammari, will begin by reciting the minutes of the last meeting General Assembly and will then move to the discussion of Board of Directors’ report regarding the company's activities for the year ending 31/12/2007. The shareholders will also listen to the auditor’s report about the company's financial statements for 2007.
The meeting will also discuss the balance sheet, income statement and other financial statements. The general assembly will also approve the recommendation of the Board of Directors to distribute dividends totaling JD95 million with 380 fils per share. Furthermore, the meeting will cover any additional issues that the assembly decides to discuss provided that this suggestion is requested by shareholders forming no less than 10% from the shares represented in the meeting.
It is worth mentioning that Jordan Telecom shares are owned by different parties and are distributed as follows, 51% to JITCO, which is owned by France Telecom, 29.05% to The Social Security Corporation (SSC), 10% to the Kuwaiti Noor Company, 6.95% for individuals and corporations and 3% to the government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
