Orange signs an agreement with Ministry of Justice

(Amman, xx June, 2009): Orange, the sole integrated telecom operator in the kingdom, signed an agreement with the Ministry of Justice, to provide the Ministry and courts' employees with Internet services in their homes.

The agreement was signed by H.E Ayman Odeh, Minister of Justice, and Mr. Sami Smeirat, Vice President / Chief Executive Officer of the Enterprise Business Unit at the Group.

On this occasion, H.E. said: "The Ministry has introduced this initiative as the first governmental institution to provide Internet services to its employees and their families. This step comes in line with the Royal directions in spreading the Internet culture." H.E went on saying: "Our human resource is considered the focal point of the Ministry, and by providing them with the Internet services in their homes, we contribute in accelerating the development process as well as opening new channels for knowledge, learning and communication."

H.E. added that this move also came as a correspondence to the national strategy that aims at developing the sector through enhancing the capabilities of the Ministry's employees, thus serving its businesses and achieving the strategy's objectives.

“We are delighted to have a reputable governmental institution choose Orange as the Internet service provider to its employees, this highlights the leading position of Orange locally, as well as enhance our presence in the Jordanian market.” said Mr. Smeirat. 

Smeirat praised the step taken by the Ministry being the first governmental institution to take such initiative that will provide the Internet services in the houses of its employees.

“Being an institution with a national identity, Orange constantly seeks to provide various services and offers that serve the needs of all the institutions operating in the Kingdom, as well as their employees, making its mobile, Internet and fixed services accessible to all from individuals to companies,” added Smeirat.
