At the Re-build Iraq Exhibition 2007
Effective participation for Wanadoo and the JTG Foundation

Wanadoo – a Jordan Telecom Group (JTG) subsidiary, and the JTG Foundation jointly sponsored the Rebuild Iraq 2007 Exhibition.  The Exhibition was opened by Prime Minister Ma’arouf al Bakhit, and held at the Amman Exhibition’s court yard, on the Airport Road.  The Exhibition witnessed substantial participation of major international, local and Arab companies.  Wanadoo served the exhibition with a variety of services, by offering Wi-Fi service for visitors and participants, to enable them access the Internet from any location on the Exhibition site through radio waves technology, without the need to link pc’s through wires.

During the exhibition, Wanadoo services were on display, such as Leased Lines, ADSL, Pre-Paid Internet cards, dial-up, Internet access through 090007000, Wi-Fi, IPVPN, and website hostings.

Wanadoo also put on display a number of services in its wing at the Exhibition.  Many visitors called upon the Wanadoo wing, and listened to a brief on data exchange technologies and the services that Wanadoo offers to its customers.

Sami Smeirat, Vice President/ Jordan Telecom Group and CEO Internet & Data Business Unit "Wanadoo", said: “We continue to exert all possible efforts at Wanadoo in particular, and JTG at large, to support the society and its programmes, through our continued participation in all events that serve the nation and citizens.”

The JTG Foundation parked its Internet bus with all its equipment, such as pc’s, printers, faxes and other devices that provide telecom service access, and put them at the service of journalists, as well as availed them to local, Arab and International media persons who  covered the deliberations of the exhibition.

Visitors expressed their admiration on the variety of services and activities that the JTG provides, as well as its continued efforts to attract modern technologies into Jordan, thus on one front developing the ICT sector, and on the other promoting the civic society in Jordan with all that is new.

JTG is keen to participate in this exhibition, in assertion of the Group’s effective role in the region in all areas, as well as its participating in Arab and International events.
