Five Jordan Telecom Group Business Units achieve ISO 9001:2000 Certification

Jordan Telecom Group (JTG) announced that five of its Business Units (Mobile Business Unit, Internet & Data Business Unit, Network Shared Services Unit, Information System Shared Services Unit, and the Fixed & Retail Business Unit) achieved ISO 9001:2000 Certification. This was a joint effort between the  above-mentioned Business Units and the Quality Assurance and Processes Unit.

This achievement underscores JTG commitments towards providing customers with unique services that meet international standards.

For his part, Mr. Michael Ghoussein, Jordan Telecom Group CEO stated that achieving the ISO certificate comes as a result of the integration strategy that the Group implemented a year ago, and also underlines the Group’s continuous commitment to upgrade its operations, procedures and services.

“Developing the level of services we provide our customers with to meet their expectations was at the forefront of our objectives when we took the decision to become an integrated operator,” he also added.

Jordan Telecom Group announced, in February 2006, the integration of its four companies’ operations into a single organization with one management structure. Jordan Telecom, the fixed-line operator, MobileCom, the mobile provider, Wanadoo, the internet and data company, and e-Dimension, the content developer, all became one entity. 

Mr. Ghossein went on to explain that the ISO certificate coincides with the Group’s preparations to unify its four companies under the Orange brand name, which requires complying with high standards that Jordan Telecom Group’s mother company France Telecom Group implements in the management and customer care fields.

According to Ghossein, achieving ISO certification also emphasizes the Group’s competency & readiness to carry the Orange brand, which will bear positive benefits to the Jordanian market as well as innovative services.
