Orange supports seven schools with INJAZ

Conscious of its social responsibility towards Jordan, and its commitment towards achieving the King’s vision, Orange, the commercial brand of Jordan Telecom Group, signed an agreement with INJAZ, the program that focuses on the creation of economic opportunities for Jordanian youth, to support and build seven schools.

Orange was a Golden sponsor of the initiative, which comes as part of INJAZ’s School Adoption Program.  The support will cover the costs of teaching INZAJ curricula in these schools, supporting the leadership project ‘How to be become a leader’, and provide volunteers, and deliver maintenance of some of the school facilities to improve the school’s environment.                                                                            

Mr. Michael Ghossien the CEO of Jordan Telecom Group expressed his delight for signing the agreement, which strengthens the partnership between the two parties. "We have committed ourselves to Jordan and Jordanians by effectively contributing in the technological, economic and social development of the country. Orange today adds a new initiative to its many community initiatives as it gives students and their parents the right sort of attention through the development of the educational process while linking academic learning with practical application. We are delighted to be a key player in this initiative,” Ghossein said.

Mrs. Dima Bibi, Executive President of INJAZ, valued Orange’s contribution in support of human resources development by providing opportunities for training and rehabilitation. Bibi went on to say that human recourses are the main recourse for institutions and companies in the public and private sectors, where students in schools represent a large portion. She also commended the cooperation size and real desire of  Orange to support the local community and develop it.

The adopted schools divided  into seven different areas throughout the Kingdom and the adopted schools are:
ramlah Bint Abi Sufian secondary school -female /zarqa, Ammar bin Yasser secondary school-male / Irbid, Zaid Bin Harith secondary school-male / Madba, asma’a Bint Abi Bakr secondary school-female / Wadi Musa, Nusseibeh Almaznieh secondary school-female / Maan, Altfilah mixed primary school- female / Altfilah, King Nasser elementary school -male / Ajloun,  this distribution comes as a circulating of  interest and attempt to reach areas far from Amman and its people in dire need

INJAZ began its activities in Jordan in (1999) as training program for the youth, part of Save the Children Foundation and funded by USAID. The program turned in (2001) to a national non-profit entity through a ceremony held under the auspices of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah. In (2003), the program entered schools through quotas vocational classes.  INJAZ Jordan is a member of the gobal Junior (Achievement) Foundation site.
