JTG (Orange) supports Goodwill campaign

(Amman, 30 July, 2007): Jordan Telecom Group (JTG) / Orange, the sole integrated telecommunications provider in the Kingdom, signed a cooperation agreement with Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) to support its Goodwill campaign.
The agreement was signed with the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Basma Bint Talal, JOHUD Chairperson, Ms. Farah Daghistani, Executive Director of JOHUD, and Mr. Mickael Ghossein, JTG (Orange) CEO.
“We pride ourselves at JTG of this partnership that brings us with one of the pioneering programs that aims at providing different types of support for the local community. This campaign strives for achieving His Majesty King Abdullah II’s vision in developing the community and creating equity in living standards,” said Ghossein.
He pointed out that the Group was enlightened by His Majesty’s vision, working hard through the JTG Fund, the community arm of the Group, to fulfill the needs of citizens as well as spreading among the villages and governorates to contribute in building a role model of Jordan while highlighting it on the international level.
“The Group’s GSM operator, MobileCom, has supported the fund for five consecutive years and today JTG is expanding its support to include all its companies, therefore, agreeing with the philosophy of Orange, the Group’s commercial brand, in being an integral part of the community and its issues,” said Mrs. Majd Shweikeh, Mobilecom CEO.
It is worth mentioning that the Goodwill campaign was launched in 1990 as one of JOHUD’s programs to help and support underprivileged Jordanians and those with special needs through providing services in different medical fields, as well as supporting livestock breeding projects, home dressmaking projects, small shop projects, and school bags projects in addition to the studying grants it offers for university students aiming by that at improving the lives of the citizens and assist them to reach self-containment.
