Over two million subscribers grant their trust to the Jordan Telecom Group

The Jordan Telecom Group (JTG) announced its four subsidiaries (Jordan Telecom, MobileCom, Wanadoo and e-Dimension) hitting over two million subscribers. The Group  has attracted a major market share in the telecom sector, which is witnessing acute competition in the Kingdom, in turn becoming one of the most booming and competitive markets in the region.

The JTG is the first and better choice for integrated telecom services, such as fixed, mobile, Internet and Content.  Over two million subscribers have chosen to join the JTG family, prompting the Group to provide simplified and integrated solutions, and to respond vigorously to their demands, under a huge technological advancement umbrella, witnessed by the international telecom sector.

The JT Group CEO, Mr. Mickael Ghossein, gave a breakdown of the number of subscribers for each of the Group companies.  He also spoke of the strategic partnership with France Telecom.  "Implementing the integrated operator concept early this year amongst our Group companies, has enhanced the capabilities each of the companies has.  It also unified services on offer, under a one operator umbrella. Our Group was therefore able to expand its services platform, enhancing further citizens trust in us, and prompting them to become one of the Group customers, in turn enabling us to exceed a customer base of over two millions,"  Ghossein said.

He added that the partnership with France Telecom is an important milestone, and a strategic step that developed and modernized all that would serve the Jordanian telecom sector and enhance the national economy.  Being part of France Telecom, the JTG was empowered to continue delivering the business as an integrated operator,  deriving   from   diverse Group services offered by France Telecom, and all that the Group could put on offer in the Jordanian market.

Ghossein gave a breakdown of number of subscribers for each Group company, whereby Jordan Telecom's subscribers reached 674,345.  JT is considered the main fixed telephony provider, and the largest telecom service provider in Jordan.  JT owns a modern network that allows it provide unique services equal to those offered in international markets.

MobileCom subscribers reached 1,309,780.  It is the Company that operates mobile services, by virtue of a license granted to Jordan Telecom.  MobileCom established an advanced telecom network, that serves the Jordanian public.  It combines local Jordanian capabilities, with the technological, network management and operation expertise that France Telecom has.

Wanadoo is the first ISP in the Kingdom.  Its subscribers have hit 37,729, and thus exceeded its market share of 50%.  Wanadoo occupies the first level amongst ISP's in Jordan, due to the extensive expertise its international partners, dispersed over the five continents.

The fourth Company, e-Dimension, has contributed towards setting the standards and basis for IT and software industry in Jordan, through offers of a wide spectrum of services, ranging from the first safe e-payment gateway in Jordan, to software development, providing secure e-content network, assisting France Telecom in the computerization of the Arabic curricula for the JEI project, etc, thus covering all IT services in Jordan and the region.

Through its four companies and partnership with France Telecom, the JTG has imprinted a clear presence in the ICT sector.   This has been facilitated by its position, pioneering initiative, adoption of advanced technologies, and providing new services at high quality and reasonable prices, at an advanced level.  Such services have created an ICT sector that has alleviated to the level of advanced international achieving telecoms, and has become a model to be copied in the region
