Orange fixed Orange fixed line is one of the most successful founding companies in the development of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Established by the Government of Jordan, today Orange fixed line is privately owned with shareholders coming from across the world including France Telecom who now controls a majority stake in the company.
In providing a full complement of fixed telecom services to its 600,000+ customers, Orange fixed priorities include developing and improving the fixed voice telephone network, extending the reach of the Kingdom’s data transmission network to ensure that every citizen of Jordan has the opportunity of being globally connected. Lowering tariffs and creating an international and focal center for communications in Jordan remains high on our agenda.
Orange mobile Orange mobile, a wholly owned subsidiary of Jordan Telecom, is the second mobile service provider in the country. The company was first registered in September 1999, with an aim to build a new, highly advanced, mobile communications network to serve the Kingdom using the most advanced cutting edge technology available on the market today.
Our commitment is to continually introduce new levels of customer service, satisfaction and quality, enabling Jordanians to benefit from the advantages of mobile communication. By coupling advanced technology and quality with value for money services, today we are more able to share our offer with a much larger portion of the Jordanian population.
Orange mobile has more than 1,500,000 customers and a GSM network coverage reaching over 99% of the Jordanian population.

Previously known in Jordan as Global One and Equant, then following a strategic partnership with France Telecom, Wanadoo emerged into the market place in 2001 and is among Europe’s largest internet providers.Today Orange is the leading ISP in Jordan with more than 50% market share. In bringing its fresh approach to the Jordanian’s on-line scene, Orange continues to lead the market introducing ‘first to market’ services such as ADSL, CoolNet pre-paid internet cards, Internet through 0900 service, data communication and internet roaming – to name just a few.

Our range of comprehensive solutions has positioned Orange Innovations & Corporate Integrated Solutions Business Unit as one of the largest solution providers in the region.
Orange Innovations & Corporate Integrated Solutions Business Unit specializes in data management and serves as the operating platform for businesses that provide electronic services. It was the first company in Jordan to launch the e-payment gateway in 2003, the e-tracker centralized web-based bug tracking and customer care application.
The Wholesale Business Unit Jordan Telecom manages the Kingdom’s national fixed line and mobile network infrastructure – an infrastructure that is required to support the communication needs of Jordanians. With one third of the Group’s business drawn from sales to other telecoms service providers, the liberalization of the telecoms sector in Jordan continues to open up many opportunities for the company.
The wholesale business unit was created to address the business requirements of the existing and newly licensed service providers in a consistent, regulatory compliant and time effective manner.
The significant strategic partnership with France Telecom has enabled the Group to open up wider perspectives with new wholesale services, new technologies and a worldwide presence.
The Jordan Telecom Group Foundation (JTGF) The Jordan Telecom Group Foundation is a non-profit organization developed to enhance communication and support social, humanitarian and cultural issues. It comes in addition to the great many community activities and sponsorships organized by the Group’s various Business Units.
More communication means more links for better mutual understanding. The Group's corporate social responsibility policy supports initiatives that contribute to creating and developing links so that everyone can have a better start in life enabling them to participate better in society.
The birth of the Jordan Telecom Group Foundation came from the Group’s commitment to socio-economic development of communities and individuals in line with His Majesty King Abdullah II’s vision of bridging the information gap between society groups. The Fund was initiated in 2001 with a contribution of JD100,000 for the educational development of needy students in the effort to help them attain degrees from various higher learning institutions. |
